C'è una parabola che racconta che quando una rana viene immersa in acqua bollente - sorpresa, sorpresa -  cercherà di saltare immediatamente fuori. Invece, una rana messa in acqua fredda che viene gradualmente riscaldata si accovaccerà lì fino a quando non muore. Molti governi, imprese e persone testimoniano la stessa sorte, lentamente, guardando i loro insuccessi crescere, le loro reazioni diventano tardive fino a quando non è troppo tardi.
There is a parable that a frog when plunged into hot water - surprise, surprise - will try to leap out. However, a frog placed in cool water that is then gradually brought up to the boil will sit there until it dies. Many governments, companies and people witness the same fate, slowly watching their unsuccesses growing and their reactions becoming obsolete until it is too late.
